How to find the right mount in 3 steps

  1. Check your TV or display's weight. This is usually printed on the box, in the manual, or on the manufacturer's spec sheet online. Search for your exact TV model if you no longer have either.
  2. Check its VESA pattern. This is the spacing, in millimeters, between the four mounting screw holes on the back of your TV, for example 400x200mm. It is usually listed in the manual or on the manufacturer's website, alongside the weight.

What is a VESA pattern?

VESA is the standard spacing of the four screw holes on the back of a TV or monitor, set by the Video Electronics Standards Association so mounts and displays from different manufacturers are compatible with each other. Common sizes range from 100x100mm on small monitors up to 800x600mm or larger on big commercial displays. A mount rated for a given VESA size can usually also fit smaller patterns within its range, which is why this tool checks a range rather than an exact match.
